Established in 2006, Incanto Productions stands as the sole Italian company based in the USA specializing in the creation of multilingual and multicultural edutainment materials and educational musicals tailored for schools and families. Operating as both a television and theatrical production company, as well as a publishing entity, Incanto Productions is currently celebrating 16 years of unwavering commitment to promoting Italian language and culture in the United States and Canada.
Since 2005, our efforts have touched the lives of over 80,000 students in the NYC Tri-State Area through the provision of unique edumusicals and accompanying educational materials, facilitated by grants and sponsorships.
Our original work is the culmination of more than two decades of immersive in-school interactions, where we've shared and tested innovative solutions for Italian language learning with both students and teachers.
The Incanto Productions team hails from Italy and continues to ardently and tirelessly spread the affection for one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Incanto Productions, Corp. is a leading expert in crafting multicultural and multilingual productions tailored for schools and families. Our unwavering commitment lies in enhancing and broadening language instruction at all educational levels by harnessing the power of music and theater. Since our inception in 2008, we've successfully brought the joy of Off-Broadway-sized educational musicals to more than 80,000 students. Our creations stem from the creativity and enthusiasm of both students and their teachers. We are devoted to instilling a love for diverse cultures and traditions through the arts. Our team, comprising educators and artists, is wholeheartedly committed to imparting the joy of arts in education to the new generations. We firmly believe that this endeavor contributes to fostering peace in the world.
Simona Rodano
Simona Rodano was born in Turin, Italy, in the region of Piedmont. She is a renowned television and theater producer, as well as a talented singer and actress. Hailing from a family of musicians, Rodano completed her vocal training at the International Academy of Music in Milan and earned a Diploma in Acting from the Centro Teatro Attivo in Milan. In addition to her artistic pursuits, Simona holds a Master’s degree in Biology from the University of Turin and came to New York City to pursue a Ph.D. in medical studies at the Valhalla Medical Center.
Balancing her life between the worlds of science and art, Simona made the decision to become a full-time professional artist. For more than a decade, she contributed her talents to the popular variety show “Ci Vediamo in TV – See You on TV,” hosted by Paolo Limiti on Italy’s national network, RAI television.
Simona Rodano was chosen by the renowned Italian group I Pooh to portray the role of “Angela” in the national and international theatrical tours of “Pinocchio Il Grande Musical,” featuring music by I Pooh. Her achievements extend to winning the prestigious STAR KING competition in Seoul, also known as Korean Idol. She is the recipient of the IBLA Grand Prize at Carnegie Hall, and she has been honored with the AIAE award (Italian American Association of Educators), the NY Mets Award (Citi Field, NYC), and the Columbia Association of U.S. Customs Award as an International Singing Sensation. Additionally, she holds the title of honorary citizen of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Simona Rodano is not only a remarkable artist but also the founder of Incanto Productions, Corp., a production and publishing company based in Queens, New York. The company specializes in multilingual and multicultural theater works, media works, and live concerts designed for children and families. It also produces educational materials for students in grades K-12. One of their standout projects is “La Fata Italiana – The Italian Fairy®,” an innovative edutainment program that aids teachers in instructing young learners (grades K-12) in Italian through music, theater, musical videos, books, and educational services. For middle and high schools, Incanto Productions has gained popularity with its unique “Edumusicals for schools,” a modern approach to encouraging students to study Italian.
Since 2008, educational institutions and organizations across the NYC Tri-State Area, Washington D.C., Annapolis, Detroit, and Toronto have joined forces with Incanto Productions, resulting in over 80,000 students participating in educational musical productions. In Spring 2024, schools are gearing up to attend “Sempreverde.”
Since 2013, Simona has served as the Glee Club Director at St. John’s Prep School in Astoria, New York City, where she revitalized the Visual and Performing Arts Department as the Creative Director. On September 25, 2023, Simona received a Citation of Honor from Mr. Donovan Richards, the President of the Borough of Queens, in recognition of her steadfast commitment to promoting Italian language and culture within the school.
Simona Rodano is also working on ]her music concert titled “Roots and Wings” and will commence an enriching educational concert series for colleges.
